Black Cherry 51

Hellooo Bloggerettes! Today's post features my favorite OPI, Black Cherry Chutney, used previously for my Fancy Wallpaper look. She's the perfect Fall/Winter shade of burgundy. To snazzy it up I added Nfu Oh 51, the rainbow shimmer/flakie in a bottle.

The last picture are my nails under water to show the rainbow effect. It's so hard to capture on camera. The second photo really shows how perfect this combo is for this time of year! I began with 2 coats of Rejuvacote, 2 coats of Black Cherry Chutney, 1 coat of 51, and topped it off with a thick coat of Seche Vite. What do you think of this combo?

Fabuluxe Skull

It's Halloween Bloggerettes and I have a fab look for you today. I've been wanting to do my own take on the Sugar Skull mani but with more glitta and more accent nails!

My base colors.

Phew, my closeup pic makes my skin looked wrecked. I promise my skin is just fine, lol.

As usual I started off with 2 coats of Rejuvacote. My thumb, ring, and pinkie nails have 2 coats Revlon Stiletto, my new favorite black creme, with 2 coats Lush Lacquer Lite Brite glitta. Index nails has 2 coats OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls and my middle is just 1 coat of Hard Candy Fabuluxe. I love me a good 1 coater! For my skull my tools of choice were a big and small dotting tool and a thin striper brush. For eyes, mouth, and nose I used Stiletto, Fabuluxe to surround the eyes, dots in eyes were Hard Candy Beetle, and the hearts were Orly Purple Crush. Lush Lacquer's Lite Brite is a gorgeous multi sized and colored glitter, a definite must have! The skull was much harder to do than I originally thought, I had to redo it a few times before I was happy.

I hope you liked my Halloween mani, I know I loved it. Today was a rough day, we found out my father in law passed away. I would love and appreciate any love, prayers, and well wishes for my boyfrann, his family, and myself. I hate to end this on a sad note so here is a funny picture of Zombri and her new friends at the dog park last weekend.

Nail Dump

Bloggerettes, the title of this post is gross. Haha! But accurate. I know I've lacked in posting but trust me I've been painting. Here's a quick update on some nail art and swatches while I've been busy in the outside world.

My attempt at a major lemming, Rescue Beauty Lounge's Aqua Lily. This is 2 coats of OPI Fly with 1 coat CND Violet Shimmer. Fly is a much more accurate base for Aqua Lily than Zoya Wednesday!

Then I added Essie Stroke of Brilliance! A lot of folks at work loved it but I just did not like this look. I received Stroke of Brilliance through the Essie Klout perk a while back.

This look begins with 1 coat of Maybelline Sunlight for a nice golden glow within, followed by Glitter Gal Light as a Feather. I can't remember which pink I used but I'm pretty sure it was China Glaze Pink Plumeria. I did this funky french for a friends wedding reception. A little appropriate with a neon punch! Loved this look.

I almost didn't buy this awesome Hare polish. What was I thinking?! This beauty is Twilight Savings. She's full of silver square glitter and purple micro glitter swimming in a purple jelly base. The micro glitter really makes this polish glow. Gorgeous, a definite must have.

You all know I love my roses! The glitter is Color Club Gingerbread and the base for my accent nail is Julep Hayden. My roses were a mix of colors that I can't exactly remember. Sorry dahlings.

Finally, this mani is 3 coats of Butter London Bluey. I received this bad boy through Coterie for a steal!

Ladies and germs, I have spent a long night painting up a storm making nail polish earrings for some lovely ladies. I also have a humongoid work week ahead of me. Luckily I do have 2 Halloween looks I can't wait to show you! Till next time...

Stained Glass Ming

Helloooo Bloggerettes! Today's nails are a mix of glitter gradient with an accent of stained glass. What, haha? My accent nails are meant to look like a stained glass window with roses. My pictures don't show a good representation of that but in person they were flawless!

I started off with 1 thick coat of Rejuvacote, 2 coats of Color Club Blue Ming, and 1 coat of OPI Did You 'Ear About Van Gogh? on my accent nail. Once dry I did 1 layer of Maybelline Sunlight followed by Color Club Gingerbread for my gradient. For my accent nails I used 1 coat of Cosmetic Arts Flakie polish, Orly Purple Crush for my roses, Blue Ming for my leaves, and Art Deco in black for my outlines. I love rocking roses on my manis, I think they are so fun and chic. What do you think?

For some shizz and giggles I decided to Frankenweenie-fy my boston babies, Zombri and Bronson!

Did You 'Ear About Tacos in the Bubble Room?

Hello Bloggerttes! Today I have a really fun combo featuring Sonoma Nail Art and Pahlish. Bubble Room by Sonoma is a gorgeous gold shimmer with micro gold and holo glitter. I started off with 2 coats of OPI Did You 'Ear About Van Gogh? a great beige neutral followed by 2 coats of Bubble Room. This is the same look featured on Sonoma's listing that Sarah over at Chalkboard Nails did!

2 coats of Did You 'Ear About Van Gogh? alone.
Completed look with a coat of Seche Vite.

Isn't is gorgeous? Bubble Room keeps the look from looking simply neutral but not too in your face. Then the next day I received my Pahlish package which included the amazing Fire in the Taco Bell. Which automatically reminds me of Electric Six.

I immediately added 2 coats. Fire in the Taco Bell has an orange jelly base with magenta and orange, hexagon, square glitter. But my absolute favorite part is the translucent purple hexagon glitter! It gives this polish an extra oomph that I was not expecting. While Bubble Room was smooth and applied like buttah FinTB had to be moved around and placed to avoid any clumps. Sonoma polishes retail for $10 and Pahlish is $9. What do you think of this mani or are you too focused on Danger, High Voltage!?haha

Monochrome Monday

Good morning Bloggettes! Today I have another group mani. This time it's Monochrome Monday, or black and white for us more simple folk, lol. It took me forever to come up with something and I am happy with my results. I did different looks on each hand this round but both start with the same base of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls (told ya' it's my favorite!), followed by 2 coats of Sally Hansen Glass Slipper(white glitter flecks/shimmer).

Once dry I applied several pieces of strip tape to each nail. Next I used LA Colors Art Deco in Black as I am out of regular black polish.

Tape has just been freshly pulled, no top coat yet.

Finishing the look is Lynnderella Connect the Dots followed by a generous coat of Seche Vite.

For my right hand I used 2 coats of Pahlish Typewriter Keys (shredded white/black glitter with silver/holo shimmer) and 1 coat of Lynnderella Connect the Dots.

I love, love, love the way this came out, reminds me of one of my favorite movies Beetle Juice and my Boston babies Zombri and Bronson. The only thing I would change is a coat of Gelous before Seche Vite as it is a bit gritty.

I hope you enjoyed my mani, now lets see what the other ladies came up with!

My Boyfriend Scales Hippity Hops

Hey Bloggerettes! Long time no postie. Life has been a bit hectic with both Bostons getting sick while my dad was in the hospital. It's been an exhausting, stressful week but I am back.

Todays mani is OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls with Girly Bits Hippity Hop. Lmao, I never in a million years thought that I would find a Spiderman Hippity Hop to go along with this mani. My Boyfriend Scales Walls in a greyed white creme and Hippity Hop is a mix of purple, pink, green, holo pastel glitters with pink purple shimmer. I was able to purchase Hippity Hop over at Harlow & Co. shortly after my Girly Bits order for $12.

 2 coats MBSW.
1 coat Hippity Hop over MBSW.

I applied a generous coat of Gelous followed by Seche Vite to even out my finish. Hippity Hop was a huge lemming for me and it didn't dissappoint. I tried to capture the shimmer and effects but it does not photograph easily. You definitely have to play around with placement as it is thick. My Boyfriend Scales Walls has easily become my favorite white even though the formula is a bit thin.

If you don't follow me on Instagram(feedkmayeorchids) you missed out on some pictures of Zombri's xrays, Father's Day, hauls, and other goodies. Here's a sneak peek of some of my favorites.
