It's Alive!!!!

Happy Halloween Blogerettes! I hope everyone had a pleasant and spooky weekend! I come baring most excellent news...we were officially approved for our apartment today. Squee, I cannot wait to finally have much needed space to do more nails, make up, reviews, and the like. Now, back to business. I told myself for the longest time that I would not even think about purchasing China Glaze It's Alive because I was so in love with Zombie Zest from last years Halloween collection. But nail polish is addicting and that beautiful murky glitter green was eventually a part of my collection. It's Alive is easily a part of my top ten favorite nail polishes of all time. It isn't a hungry glitter and once top coat is applied the sparkle is so intense. To avoid doing more than two coats, therefor not making removal an epic pain, I decided to layer it over Color Club Nouveau Vintage. N.V. is a beautiful green/brown/bronze duochrome.
Flash to show off the bronze deliciousness with a hint of green. 2 coats Nouveau Vintage.
Show off more of the green undertones.
Two coats of It's Alive over Nouveau Vintage.
So much green love! On Saturday night my boyfrann and I went to a Halloween party. He dressed as John Goodman's character in The Big Lebowski and at the last minute I decided to do a quickie sugar skull look. Here's a quick cell phone shot of my make up!
Nothing too spectacular. All makeup is Sugarpill and all the black liner is Inglot gel liner in 77. Check out my uber hot Betsey Johnson necklace! Now I think I will nap on this fine Halloweenie day! Stay safe out there!

Goldilux

With my crazy work schedule I rarely have time to do makeup let alone bright makeup. So when I get to close you better believe I bust out my Sugarpill, lol. This look features Sugarpill's Chromalust pigment in Goldilux, the brightest most intense gold you'll ever find/need/want. Goldilux was applied wet with my handy dandy eyedrops. I also used my Urban Decay Naked Palette and The Black Palette. My liner is Inglot gel liner in 77, a matte black. Also featured are my awful Rodney Dangerfield blue contacts, lol. I'm too busy buying 'unnecessary' things to get better contacts.

I really want to place another order soon. Junebug and Magpie chromalusts are calling my name! What do you think about Sugarpill?

Halloween Inspired!

I've been so inspired by fellow bloggers Halloween nails that I decided to try my hand at some of my favorites. Sarah over at Chalkboard Nails did my favorites, eyeballs and glow in the dark ghosts. Kayla at Nails By Kayla Shevonne did an amazing job at zombie flesh. And the lovely Rebecca did a super cute tutorial on realistic roses that I totally bombed on, lol. I used a buttload of polishes so I won't list them, I didn't use the same colors as the other bloggers did anyway. If you choose to try them out you can make them your own! But if you are curious about a color I would be happy to tell you!

Details were done using various sized dotting tools as well as the Halloween Bundle Monster plate. My ghost looks '3D' because I used my Konad white which is very thick. I did use China Glaze Ghoulish Glow to make him glow in the dark. That little booger was hard to photograph in the dark, lol. What's your favorite Halloween mani out there in the blogosphere?

Blue Satin

Hello Bloggerettes! I hesitate to post this as work has made my hands quite dry and sad but the color is just too beautiful not to share. This is two coats of Klean Colors Blue Satin and a nice thick coat of Seche Vite.

Blue Satin is a dark navy blue with blue shimmer, round holo glitter, and holo bar glitter. It really is unique and lovely. Klean Colors are available at BeautyJoint for a cool $1.75. In other news we will hopefully be moving out by early November which means more posts will come soon! Please keep your fingers crossed that everything works out!

Sienna

A lot of fellow bloggers were pretty disappointed with the Birchbox program as it rarely had nail polish or nail related items. I never went through the Birchbox process because they rarely featured items that I cared for. As if the polish Gods could hear our cries Julep came and brought to us an amazing box featuring nail polishes, cuticle oils, lotions, etc for just $20 a month. Julep has you take a quiz to decide what box you will receive each month. I am an 'It Girl'. I have received three boxes so far and I am impressed. I know there was some drama regarding their referral program but they have resolved the issues and I was part of the group that was rewarded with a free October box! My first box, which I purchase for only $4.99 came with Emilie(a dark muted green), Sienna(a foiled gold), and an amazing hand scrub. I am pretty impressed with Julep and I am happy to bring you Sienna.

My only complaint is the shape of the polish bottles. They appear very sleek and are pretty but not practical when trying to polish your nails without worrying about the bottle tipping over. To purchase a polish on it's own is $14 not to mention their lotions/scrubs are $32+ so I think receiving a box for only $20 is a great deal. If you decide to check Julep out I ask that you please consider using my direct link to join. For every person who uses my link and purchases I get a $15 credit and in turn you can do the same! How do you feel about Julep?
