Anachronism, A Franken

Anachronism is made from various glitter polishes I had laying around, much like my previous franken, Bile. However, rather than a clear base she has a jelly grey base. One of the many wonderful women I have met via Facebook polish groups did a very beautiful version of this that inspired me to get my franken juices flowing. This is 2 coats of Anachronism over SOPI Sparkling Personality.

She's a bit sheer so that extra sparkle shining through is from Sparkling Personality. No nail has the same mixture of glitter making each one it's own special little snowflake! There is no wrong way to make this franken so I urge you to try this out yourselves! Now I'd like to end this post with some lols to cheer us all up. <3

Leopard Sugarplum Yum

Hello Bloggerettes! I was lucky enough to purchase OPI Sugarplum Yum and Sugarplum Yum Glitter from Rachel over at Cherryglamgirl. Sugarplum Yum is a dusty pale purple duochrome that shifts pink to gold. The glitter is a micro mix of medium purple and holo. For this look I decided against using underwear and did 3 coats to make it opaque.

For the glitter I wasn't interested in just doing a layer and be done with it. It's been awhile since I've used my Konads so I busted out my favorite plate M57. I wanted a delicate print so to stamp I used China Glaze Avalanche, a light chrome purple. I chose the leopard spots and for the insides I used Sugarplum Yum Glitter with the small end of a dotting tool.

My pictures don't do this mani justice! It was lovely, delicate, and just what I was going for. Sugarplum Yum and Glitter are both HTF polishes but keep an eye out of eBay and blog sales! I just found this listing on eBay. What do you think?

Sparkling Personality

Hello Bloggerettes! You may have noticed that the blog is looking pretty good and fancy, all thanks to Sarah over at Chalkboard Nails. She took my ideas and made them her own and I am so thankful to have a beautiful blog to share with you! Now on to some hot nails.

It had been a very long time since I went out into the 'real' world to go and shop so if I had to go out then I had to stop by Sephora! Lucky for me the new OPI by Sephora Betsey Johnson polishes were out. Most of the colors were cremes, been there done that, not worth $9.50 in my opinion. However there were two that stood out, It's My Pink (a hot pink creme scented with Too Too perfume) and Sparkling Personality which is what I'm showing off today. Sparkling Personality is a polish I have never seen before, an opaque micro silver glitter with micro rainbow glitter. It is both unique and classy.

A blurry shot to show off the rainbow.

She applied like a dream but dried a bit gritty, nothing a little Gelous couldn't fix. This is 2 thin coats, with 1 coat of Gelous, and 1 coat of Seche Vite. There is nothing on the bottle stating it is a Betsey polish other than the little attachment which comes off(last picture). Sephora by OPI polishes retails for $9.50 both online and in store. What do you think? Are you going to buy all the polishes because of Betsey Johnson? I almost did!lol

My first swap!

Yesterday I received my first swap package ever from Samina over at Sam Nails It. I was pretty nervous about doing a swap but I am so happy I did and I feel so lucky to have had her! I'll just let the pictures do the talking.

First of all look at her beautiful handwriting!
Neatly packaged up with cute little labels and delicious chocolate.
 Max Factor Fantasy Fire!
Barry M Berry Ice Cream, Dusky Mauve, Limited Edition Pink, Hologram Hexagrams, and Pure Turquoise.
Models Own Disco Mix, Mystic Mauve, Juicy Jules, and Emerald City.
 Altogether.

These are all my first with each brand. They're all beautiful and pictures just don't do them enough justice. I was surprised by how big the Barry M's were, I always thought they were thin tall bottles, and how small Fantasy Fire was. I can't wait to get more of these brands and to do another swap in the future!
