Midnight Rider

Tonight I present Midnight Rider, a franken made by Chelsea over at Pretty and Polished. Midnight Rider is blurple based with medium square lavender glitter, medium hex red glitter, and fine red glitter. She can be used alone or with underwear. I opted for China Glaze Hyper Haute underwear for this look. For some reason I could not get the lavender squares on my brush for this look but it still came out beautiful!
 Hyper Haute alone, 2 coats.
Hyper Haute alone, 2 coats.
See the lavender in the bottle!?

Midnight Reader changed the base for Hyper Haute and now looks a bit similar to China Glaze Reggae to Riches with glitter. The formula was easy to work with and only needed another 2 coats over the underwear. My bottle was a mini which retails for $4.50, the full size bottle is $8.

Glossbones and Sparkle

The lovely Amber from The Polished Momma was kind enough to sell me one of my biggest lemmings, OPI Skull and Glossbones. Skull and Glossbones is a 'greige', a grey beige. She's probably one of the prettiest and most interesting neutrals I have ever seen.

This is three thin coats. I found the formula a bit thin so I kept away from doing thick coats in order to apply evenly. I wanted to brighten up the look and play with some tape. So my thumbs, middle, and pinkie nails have triangle OPI Sparkle-licious.

Sparkle-isious is topped with a thick coat of Gelous with Seche Vite on top of all nails. My tape skills are a bit rusty but I've been practicing on getting it even. :)

Thank goodness for the weekend and wine!

Franken: Snu Snu

Ozotic and indie brand Dollish Polish have made beautiful duochrome holographic polishes. Unfortunately Ozotic is pretty expensive and Toxic Avenger by DP has been out for a bit. So to cure my insatiable need for this glorious combination I got to work on my own franken. Here's Snu Snu. (Bonus points if you know what Snu Snu is!)

As always I can never good a good representation of the duochrome. Snu Snu is a linear holographic that flashes green, pink, and purple(the bottle shot shows a good example of this). I gave her some underwear in the form of Essie Merino Cool, a dark taupe. She's pretty opaque but I felt the underwear was necessary. And so my thirst for now has been quenched. What do you think of my franken?

Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo

Today I bring to you Sinful Colors Cinderella, part of the new 2012 basic collection. She's a bright baby blue creme with gold and baby pink sparkle. I love the color, however, I found the formula to be a bit thin.

After a couple days of wear I wasn't ready to take it off. So I started off with some sponging with Sinful Colors Easy Going (a baby pink) and Klean Colors Gorgeous Surprise (a purple sparkle).

It was very cute and delicate, reminding me of Easter. But I still wanted to play around so I added some crackle with China Glaze Cracked Concrete. On my ring finger I wanted to try the new 'rimming' technique and used a bright navy blue from Kiss Nail Art polishes.

I wish I had a nice opaque white, I think that would have been better for the rimming. Cinderella is getting pretty popular and for now it is part of the basic collection at Walgreens for $1.99.

I've been really into the indie polish craze going on right now. On Etsy I've picked up polishes from Pretty and Polished and Dollish Polish(which is currently closed). My PnP package came in today and I'm still waiting on my DP order. The polishes are so beautiful and I can't wait to show you!!

For now here's Zombri and I modeling some Gross Out!
