Ruby Pumps, White Veil

Sounds like a pretty hot wedding, eh? Today's mani is actually from a bit back. The boyfran asked me to sport red and white for his favorite hockey team, the Washington Capitals, during game 6 against the New York Rangers. I am in no way into any sports but I was happy to join in to support him. They won that game, he says due to my good luck mani, lol. Whatever! I did 1 even coat of Maybelline Racy Romance, 2 coats China Glaze Ruby Pumps, 1 coat of Sally Hansen White Veil, and a thick coat of Seche Vite.
This mani was gorgeous! Ruby Pumps is so vibrant and shiny. I can't believe it was my first time using it. The boyfran will tell you because I didn't do any more good luck manis the Caps lost the playoffs. IIIIII don't think so, lol!

Monroe

Hey there Bloggerettes! I've had a pretty meh weekend beginning with an overnight shift. Needless to say I am just wiped out and feeling pretty lazy. Anywho, I finally ordered from Ninja Polish for the first time last month and picked up 2 out of 3 of the new Picture Polishes, Monroe and Mask-a-rade. Monroe is a deep vampy red jelly with micro holographic glitter.

Isn't she gorg?! Definitely lives up to the legend. This is 3 coats and 1 coat of Seche Vite. The formula was very easy to work with. From other reviews I was expecting a not so vibrant holo polish but the holo really stands out no matter the lighting! The price is a bit of a stinker at $15.50 but I think it's worth having such a unique color in my collection. Not to mention the amazing shipping from Ninja Polish, I ordered on a Friday and received my package on Monday! Just last week I placed my second order and had the same results. Great business! I can't wait for my next order, psst bring back Models Own Indian Ocean!!! ;)

Midnight Rider

Tonight I present Midnight Rider, a franken made by Chelsea over at Pretty and Polished. Midnight Rider is blurple based with medium square lavender glitter, medium hex red glitter, and fine red glitter. She can be used alone or with underwear. I opted for China Glaze Hyper Haute underwear for this look. For some reason I could not get the lavender squares on my brush for this look but it still came out beautiful!
 Hyper Haute alone, 2 coats.
Hyper Haute alone, 2 coats.
See the lavender in the bottle!?

Midnight Reader changed the base for Hyper Haute and now looks a bit similar to China Glaze Reggae to Riches with glitter. The formula was easy to work with and only needed another 2 coats over the underwear. My bottle was a mini which retails for $4.50, the full size bottle is $8.

8 Years

Today is my 8 year anniversary with my boyfran! I met him a long time ago when I was a Sophomore and he was a Junior in Highschool. We've hit a lot of rough patches but for every bad there's triple the good! I had to work this morning but when I came home he had two steaks and roses on the counter waiting for me. We're currently working on our second bottle of wine so hopefully I'm typing this coherently, lol! To celebrate I wanted bright lovey dovey nails so I chose a sponge gradient of Pure Ice Twinkle, Sally Hansen Hi-Res, and Revlon Vintage. I didn't have any cosmetic wedges so for the sponging I used packing peanuts! Then to 'spice' in up I did some stamping with China Glaze 2030 and Bundle Monster Plate BM02.

 Pure Ice Twinkle by itself.

Close up on my thumb kiss.
 Ring finger I Love You.

This combination is hot! It reminds me of a tropical alcoholic drink. Now I shall be returning to our anniversary festivities! <3

Asylum

I had been wanting to place another order for Sugarpill for a long time but kept putting it off due to funds.  But when Amy from Sugarpill posted that they got these new super cute stickers in stock I knew it was time, lol. I picked up the big kittie sticker and Chromalust Shadow in Asylum. Asylum is a gorgeous metallic orange red. It packs on pretty good when dry but when applied wet, that's when the real magic starts.

Dry on the bottom, wet on top.
Left dry, Right wet.

Love it! I've been using it as a liner too, sorry I didn't take a picture of that. It's such a cool color to work with. Asylum retails for $12 at Sugarpill.

Maybelline Color Tattoo

When I first saw Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoo Eyeshadow I immediately thought about MAC's paint pots and Inglot's gel liners like from this post. But of course these are more affordable and easily accessible.  I plan on getting all the colors but I decided to start small and picked up Pomegranate Punk(a dark cranberry with light gold sparkle), Tough As Taupe(a brownish grey), and Fierce & Tangy(a bright orange). My absolute favorite part about these, they all dry matte/suede! They are gorgeous and incredibly pigmented.

The last photo is after a swipe of a dry towel. Pomegranate Punk and Tough As Taupe wiped away pretty easily while Fierce and Tangy resisted. But with actual wear time they lasted all day wit no creasing! Pretty awesome in my opinion. Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoo shadows retail for $6.99 at Walgreens.

Milani Jewel FX

As I stated a few posts back my Walgreens recently received the new Milani Jewel FX polishes. I couldn't wait any longer, they were calling to me, so I bought all of them! Red is made up of large red hexagon glitter. Teal has large teal, green, and holo glitter with small teal circle glitter. Lavender has large lavender hexagon glitter and small circle lavender glitter. Fuchsia is another large fuschia(the exact color of Barney lol) hexagon glitter and small fuchsia circle glitter. And finally Hot Pink is large hot pink and holo hexagon glitter. You'll notice Milani thought long and hard about their polish names, lol! The formula was perfect with Hot Pink being a bit too thick. All were swatched over Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure.
Lavender, Red, Teal, Fuchsia, Hot Pink

Teal, Fuchsia, Hot Pink Red, Lavender
1 Coat: Teal, Lavender, Fuchsia, Hot Pink
 1 Coat: Red
2 Coats: Teal, Lavender, Fuchsia, Hot Pink
 2 Coats: Red
Aren't they gorgeous!? I'm already thinking doing some frankening with them. Milani polishes retail for $4.99 at Walgreens.

Cletus wants the facts! Do you like his ears better up or down?lol

You feed me orchids to give me courage...

Hello there bloggerettes! Today, long overdue, I bring to you Sally Hansen Nail Prisms in Burgundy Orchid! She is a beautiful duochrome featuring red, purple, and gold. The gold aspect is hard to photograph while the base is mostly purple that shines red. I was able to purchase Burgundy Orchid on Amazon via seller 'cassiecosmetics' for $9 plus $4 shipping. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, the shipping was very fast and it was wrapped nicely in a cute little bag. As a little side note I had to do some light editing to my middle finger as I had 'battle wounds' from tying hundreds of balloons for an event at work, lol.

Application was perfect and unlike most duochromes this did not need underwear just 3 thin coats and a layer of Seche Vite. I did this pretty fast while babysitting my brothers uber cute puppies so I apologize for my messy cuticles. It was a beautiful sunny but chilly day which made Zombri and myself very happy. I'd like to thank everyone for continuing to follow my little blog throughout this busy time and once the holidays have passed I am definitely working on a giveaway so please bare with me!

Halloween Inspired!

I've been so inspired by fellow bloggers Halloween nails that I decided to try my hand at some of my favorites. Sarah over at Chalkboard Nails did my favorites, eyeballs and glow in the dark ghosts. Kayla at Nails By Kayla Shevonne did an amazing job at zombie flesh. And the lovely Rebecca did a super cute tutorial on realistic roses that I totally bombed on, lol. I used a buttload of polishes so I won't list them, I didn't use the same colors as the other bloggers did anyway. If you choose to try them out you can make them your own! But if you are curious about a color I would be happy to tell you!

Details were done using various sized dotting tools as well as the Halloween Bundle Monster plate. My ghost looks '3D' because I used my Konad white which is very thick. I did use China Glaze Ghoulish Glow to make him glow in the dark. That little booger was hard to photograph in the dark, lol. What's your favorite Halloween mani out there in the blogosphere?
