Pirouette my Pointe

Good afternoon Bloggerettes! I am enjoying a lazy stormy day off with the pups. Todays post features my two favorite polishes from the OPI NYC Ballet collection, Pirouette my Whistle a clear base with micro silver and large white hex glitter and My Pointe Exactly a sheer grey jelly. This collection is a great palette cleanser when you need a break from the bright colors.

This is 3 coats of My Pointe Exactly, 1 coat of Pirouette My Whistle, and a coat of Seche Vite. The glitter spreads perfectly and isn't hungry. There is a slight visible nail line but I love the look. I purchased the entire OPI NYC Ballet collection from Amazon at $36.45 including shipping. However the price has gone up a few cents since then.

I purchased some striping tape over on eBay forever ago and decided to attempt a look. Unfortunately after just working on my thumb I was frustrated that my tape kept getting stuck on the roll making it difficult to find where I left off, lol. 

This is one thick coat of Wet n' Wild Blue Moon, a dark navy blue with green shimmer, no top coat. I didn't bother to clean up as I immediately removed it. I'll attempt striping tape again one day, maybe, lol.

I recently made an Instagram account and it has become an obsession for me. I would love for you all to follow me, feedkmayeorchids. For now I'll just leave you with some of my favorite Instagram pictures I took this past week.

I Love Matte

Wet n Wild came out with a 2011 holiday Walgreens exclusive palette called I <3 Matte. It's an 8 pan palette and entirely matte! Some stores may still have it in stock and if so it retails for $4.99. Shadows are swatched over Too Faced Shadow Insurance.

Shadows are swatched left to right exactly in the order they are in the palette. Build up was surprisingly easy and smooth. I have yet to use this palette in a look but I can't wait to use it. The only matte shadows I have are my Inglots and most palettes come with a black. It's nice having some new colors to add to my matte collection. Were you able to get this palette? What are your thoughts? To get off topic for a bit, I love Disney! My old tv has a built in VCR player so I'm watching 101 Dalmations. I have found my spirit animal, lol. Rolly, the chubby pup who's forever hungry! What's your favorite Disney movie? Mine is a tie, Beauty and the Beast and Alice in Wonderland! Quickie!

Haulage!

Howdy 'gents and bloggerettes! I know I've seriously been lacking postage on my blog due to work, etc. If I don't immediately crash when I get home I am right on my computer browsing up my blog roll. All the polished nails, pretty make up, and hauls/collections make me feel like I'm not the only person passionate about something that most people consider trivial. Shine On

I'm back! This weekend has been crazy and relaxing. I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday weekend. Here's the look I did for the show. I wanted something dark and shiny and finally ended up with Wet 'n' Wild Ebony Hates Chris and China Glaze Medallion. Ebony was a bit hard to work with and dried up quite fast. And boy did it stain my nails!

I want to be with the sun and the moon...I've been hopeless.

My daddy's home! He's doing much better but is still weak and will be in pain for several weeks. The first night at the hospital I painted my nails with Wet 'n' Wild Caribbean Frost.  After I visited him his last night in the hospital I wasn't ready to go home. Super Target was on the way back and I decided to take a chance at finding Nicole by OPI Make a Comet-ment and do a little retail therapy. Luck struck and I was able to buy my very own bottle! I immediately came home and painted right over the green and it looks hot!

Blurry pictures are there to show off all that holo-sexyness. I just came home from work and really wanted to try Make a Comet-ment over black but it looks like some goodies came in the mail! Does anyone else just look forward to getting mail like I do?lol.
