Nail Dump

Bloggerettes, the title of this post is gross. Haha! But accurate. I know I've lacked in posting but trust me I've been painting. Here's a quick update on some nail art and swatches while I've been busy in the outside world.

My attempt at a major lemming, Rescue Beauty Lounge's Aqua Lily. This is 2 coats of OPI Fly with 1 coat CND Violet Shimmer. Fly is a much more accurate base for Aqua Lily than Zoya Wednesday!

Then I added Essie Stroke of Brilliance! A lot of folks at work loved it but I just did not like this look. I received Stroke of Brilliance through the Essie Klout perk a while back.

This look begins with 1 coat of Maybelline Sunlight for a nice golden glow within, followed by Glitter Gal Light as a Feather. I can't remember which pink I used but I'm pretty sure it was China Glaze Pink Plumeria. I did this funky french for a friends wedding reception. A little appropriate with a neon punch! Loved this look.

I almost didn't buy this awesome Hare polish. What was I thinking?! This beauty is Twilight Savings. She's full of silver square glitter and purple micro glitter swimming in a purple jelly base. The micro glitter really makes this polish glow. Gorgeous, a definite must have.

You all know I love my roses! The glitter is Color Club Gingerbread and the base for my accent nail is Julep Hayden. My roses were a mix of colors that I can't exactly remember. Sorry dahlings.

Finally, this mani is 3 coats of Butter London Bluey. I received this bad boy through Coterie for a steal!

Ladies and germs, I have spent a long night painting up a storm making nail polish earrings for some lovely ladies. I also have a humongoid work week ahead of me. Luckily I do have 2 Halloween looks I can't wait to show you! Till next time...

Thanks for looking!

Stained Glass Ming

Helloooo Bloggerettes! Today's nails are a mix of glitter gradient with an accent of stained glass. What, haha? My accent nails are meant to look like a stained glass window with roses. My pictures don't show a good representation of that but in person they were flawless!

I started off with 1 thick coat of Rejuvacote, 2 coats of Color Club Blue Ming, and 1 coat of OPI Did You 'Ear About Van Gogh? on my accent nail. Once dry I did 1 layer of Maybelline Sunlight followed by Color Club Gingerbread for my gradient. For my accent nails I used 1 coat of Cosmetic Arts Flakie polish, Orly Purple Crush for my roses, Blue Ming for my leaves, and Art Deco in black for my outlines. I love rocking roses on my manis, I think they are so fun and chic. What do you think?

For some shizz and giggles I decided to Frankenweenie-fy my boston babies, Zombri and Bronson!

Hang-Ten Lion Toes

'Ello Bloggerettes! Today's post features some sweet claws and freshly dyed pink hair! After seeing this mani from Sarah I just had to own China Glaze I'm Not Lion, a micro gold/holo glitter, and luckily for me China Glaze Hang-Ten Toes, a hot pink neon, was on clearance! As my nails grow, and might I add fast thanks to Rejuvacote, I file them just a bit more pointy to achieve my desired claw like shape. And with this shape I really enjoy the look of this funky french! I am not sorry for doing this look back to back, haha!

 Look at all that ~*sparkle*~!!

I started off with 1 coat of Rejuvacote, 3 coats of I'm Not Lion, and 2 generous coats of Gelous. That glitter was hungry! By using Gelous you're not only feeding that glitter but creating a nice smooth surface for your french, otherwise it will appear gritty! Once dry I opted to free hand my french rather than taping. I just tapped off the excess Hang-Ten Toes leaving just a bit of the tip then slowly added each side until I reached the right shape and evenness. Then I just finished off with a thick coat of Seche Vite. All those layers made my nails feel tough as, well, nails!

As I've mentioned before I only feel like myself if my hair is pink or some obnoxiously blinding shade of bright. So after talking to my stylist I finally let someone else bleach and dye my hair! That was a first for me and I gotta say it's nice letting someone else do the work! Once my pink fades I'm going to go for a fall look and mix Manic Panic Purple Haze and Vampire Red for a bright burgundy. I can't wait but for now here's my pink hair!

What do you think? Thanks for looking!!

Violet Lightening

Hello Bloggerettes! It's been a dreary rainy day here in Florida and a migraine has been my only friend today. So I decided to get my hair done. Today was just a cut and style but tomorrow will be COLOR! I'm excited to have someone else work on coloring my hair instead of me. There's nothing worse then staining your nails and face various shades of hair dye when you have a beauty blog, haha.

Anywho, today's look features a funky french using Color Club Ultra Violet, a neon purple with green/blue shimmer, and Sally Hansen Lightening, a yellow creme. This is also the beginning of a new nail shape for me. I have really been loving the claw like shape often seen on Lady Gaga and Rihanna so I'm slowly working into that transition.

2 coats of Lightening, 1 coat Seche Vite.
Don't mind my janky thumb, lol.

I started off with 1 coat of Duri Rejuvacote, 2 coats Lightening, 1 coat of Seche Vite. Once dry I applied tape to achieve my pointed funky french, followed by 2 coats of Ultra Violet, and 1 last coat of Seche Vite. I originally wanted to try a triangle tribal design but failed hard on my thumb and did my best to fix it without removing polish. You win some you lose some and this mani was pretty fun on it's own!

Also, check out my new ring in the last picture! Isn't it beautiful? I found this beauty down in one of my off the wall shops in St.Augustine and instantly fell in love. She's a drusy quartz crystal and she's all mine! They say drusy crystals dissipate negative thoughts and emotions which is always a plus. As always I wish there was a polish to match! Sigh...lacquer head problems.
