Alice in Neonland

Hey Bloggerettes! I've been taking a mini vacation and finally taking some time for little things like being outside and painting my nails. Tonight I have a fun look that's been stirring in my mind since this morning. I wanted an Alice in Wonderland meets Betsey Johnson kind of look and came up with Alice in Neonland. With the help of my handy dandy dotting tools I completed this look within an American Dad episode, lol.

In order of nail apperance: Barry M Pure Turquoise(base 2 coats), Dollish Polish We're Gonna Need a Bigger Boat(1 coat), Konad White(large dotting tool for rose base), Zoya Luna(glitter for roses), Orly Purple Crush(small dotting tool for rose outline), and Zoya Apple(small dotting tool for leaves). Haha, note the teeth marks on my Konad polish. Anyone else have a hard time trying to open those suckers?

Barry M Pure Turquoise reminds me of Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Pool Party.
Dollish Polish We're Gonna Need a Bigger Boat. I wish you could see how fantastic this really is!
The finished look with a nice thick coat of Seche Vite.
I couldn't leave well enough alone and added a coat of Essie Matte About You. It still looks cool but I think I like this look better shiny.
I realized my mani matched my favorite cosmetic brand, Sugarpill's, new stickers! Random excitement for the win!

This mani was so much fun to do and come up with. My last post reminded me how much I love doing random nail art and such but I never have the time to play around. Hopefully I can keep up with this! What do you think of this look?

Fancy Wallpaper

Good morning everyone! Today a group of fellow Bloggerettes and I are partaking in a group tape mani! Last week the ladies did water marbling but I was unable to join so I am so excited to join the party this week. I had this look in my head forever was so relieved and excited to be able to finally work on it. It reminds me of pretty wallpaper, lol.

For this look I did 2 coats of OPI Black Cherry Chutney, a dark red/black shimmer and 1 coat of Seche Vite. After giving it some time to dry I took 2 pieces of regular Scotch tape and made triangles. Next was 1 thick coat of China Glaze Stone Cold, a matte charcoal. Then I got my BM21 plate and used China Glaze 2030, a gold chrome, and used the vine and leaf image. I left the tape on during the stamping. To keep the image intact I did a coat of Essie Matte About You. You'll notice in some of my pictures the before and after when using Essie Matte About You.

Isn't OPI Black Cherry Chutney beautiful! I was so happy to finally add it to my collection. Now here are the links to the other ladies participating in our Thursday Group Tape Mani! Hope you enjoy them!

Pirouette my Pointe

Good afternoon Bloggerettes! I am enjoying a lazy stormy day off with the pups. Todays post features my two favorite polishes from the OPI NYC Ballet collection, Pirouette my Whistle a clear base with micro silver and large white hex glitter and My Pointe Exactly a sheer grey jelly. This collection is a great palette cleanser when you need a break from the bright colors.

This is 3 coats of My Pointe Exactly, 1 coat of Pirouette My Whistle, and a coat of Seche Vite. The glitter spreads perfectly and isn't hungry. There is a slight visible nail line but I love the look. I purchased the entire OPI NYC Ballet collection from Amazon at $36.45 including shipping. However the price has gone up a few cents since then.

I purchased some striping tape over on eBay forever ago and decided to attempt a look. Unfortunately after just working on my thumb I was frustrated that my tape kept getting stuck on the roll making it difficult to find where I left off, lol.

This is one thick coat of Wet n' Wild Blue Moon, a dark navy blue with green shimmer, no top coat. I didn't bother to clean up as I immediately removed it. I'll attempt striping tape again one day, maybe, lol.

I recently made an Instagram account and it has become an obsession for me. I would love for you all to follow me, feedkmayeorchids. For now I'll just leave you with some of my favorite Instagram pictures I took this past week.

Cyance Friction

Hello hello Bloggerettes! It's Friday the 13th but my whole week has been a bundle of stress and bad luck, lol. So to relax I am happy to present Nerd Lacquer Cyance Friction. She's a beautiful neon teal with pink glass flecks, small, and large copper hexagon glitter. The application was smooth and the glitter was easy to work with. No Gelous needed, just a thick coat of Seche Vite!

To change it up I thought I'd try a close up, damn flash ruined it though. I'm really kicking myself for not ordering more Nerd Lacquers when she last opened her shop. She's currently closed but you can get notified via email when she's back. Nerd Lacquers are currently $10 for 15ml of polish.
