The Zebras Were Framed!

It was the one armed man! Hey there Bloggerettes! We Jacksonvillians are currently dealing with Tropical Storm Beryl and are not too happy! Dreary days and power outages, happy summer, right!? Anywho to brighten the day here's one of my most favorite manis to date! It was inspired by one of my favorite people, Betsey Johnson, and a pair of her fabulous earrings.

I started with a base of OPI Don't Touch My Tutu, 2 coats, on my index, ring, and pinkies. Followed by 1 coat of Glitter Gal Light as a Feather to give it a kick of holo. On my thumb and middle fingers I did a generous coat of Gelous then 3 coats of Milani Gold Jewel FX another coat of Gelous and finally a coat of Seche Vite. My glitta was smooth, lol! Next up I used my handy dandy Konad M57 plate, using the zebra design and Konad Black polish. For the rim I used LA Colors Art Deco in Intense Pink finishing up with a coat of Seche Vite. Phew, that was a lot of work!

2 coats of Tutu, 1 LaaF, and 3 Gold FX.

Stupid pinkie smudges! Somehow some little pink glitter got on my index finger too. I guess my mani just has some added character! I got so many compliments on this look it was crazy. I actually went to Sephora and wore a look using my new Sigma Paris palette and these nails and customers were asking me for help, etc instead of the employees. It definitely boosted my pride, which is always nice! What do you think? Here's a bonus "bleh rain, I'm so bored" picture, lol.

It's My Pink!

 Cheers to the weekend! Boy am I ready for some rest and relaxation. Today I'm showing off Sephora By OPI Betsey Johnson exclusive It's My Pink. It's My Pink is a creme Barbie pink scented with her latest perfume Too Too. The Too Too scent is a strong blend of musk, flowers, vanilla, and fruit. This polish was opaque after just one coat but I topped it with 2 coats with a coat of Seche Vite. 

If you are not a fan of strong scented perfumes you will not like this polish. I love the Too Too scent, however having the scent on my fingers gave me headaches. The scent stayed strong for 3 whole days and softly started to fade away. It's My Pink was surprisingly a shade I did not own so it was a totally justifiable purchase, lol. Sephora By OPI It's My Pink, along with the other full size Betsey exclusives, retails for $9.50 at Sephora.

Milani Jewel FX

As I stated a few posts back my Walgreens recently received the new Milani Jewel FX polishes. I couldn't wait any longer, they were calling to me, so I bought all of them! Red is made up of large red hexagon glitter. Teal has large teal, green, and holo glitter with small teal circle glitter. Lavender has large lavender hexagon glitter and small circle lavender glitter. Fuchsia is another large fuschia(the exact color of Barney lol) hexagon glitter and small fuchsia circle glitter. And finally Hot Pink is large hot pink and holo hexagon glitter. You'll notice Milani thought long and hard about their polish names, lol! The formula was perfect with Hot Pink being a bit too thick. All were swatched over Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure.

Aren't they gorgeous!? I'm already thinking doing some frankening with them. Milani polishes retail for $4.99 at Walgreens.
