My first (successful) Franken!

Awhile ago I had the pleasure of joining a lovely nail polish group on Facebook by the name of Polish-aholics Anonymous. I no longer feel weird for owning so many polishes and wanting to spend my hard earned paychecks on these little bottles of color. A few weeks back the big thing was SpectraFlair Flex paint powder. This pigment is typically mixed with paint for cars but it was discovered as the perfect ingredient to add to polishes to make them holo! I was able to purchase 1 gram on eBay before he decided to delete the item from his store. My first attempt, and success, a black holo flakie. Unfortunately pictures do not show the flakes but it was beautiful! Trust me. This is a mixture of Wet 'n' Wild Ebony Hates Chris, Nfu Oh #38, and SpectraFlair.

1 gram in its little baggie! This cost me $22, sheesh.

Gorgeous! Then a few days later I received some nail mail, thanks to Polish-aholics Anonymous and Karin, OPI DS Signature and OPI Bring on The Bling.
I didn't want to remove my creation just yet so I decided what's better than holo....more holo! This is Signature sponged over my franken.

Sorry for the brief hiatus. It seems something bad is happening left and right, le sigh. But that's life! I'm just happy to have a mostly loving family and my Zombri! Now I need some help though. My franken needs a name! Who wants to help?

I've got to paint this town red

I think I'm unconsciously buying nail polish and make up now, lol. Where my paycheck went no one knows for sure. This look came about while sitting in my room watching Netflix, as per usual. The only eyeshadows I use anymore are Sugarpill and Inglot. I can't believe there was a time that I didn't own them! This is Sugarpill Love+ and Inglot AMC 74.

And some pictures from my Mac photo booth...

Le sigh, only two days till the weekend!!!!

Extravagance

I've had OPI DS Extravagance forever and surprisingly this is the first time I've used it! It's a gorgeous berry color with multi glitter throughout. I don't see it as holo as the only colors I notice flashing are yellow, orange, and blue not rainbow. Beautiful combination of colors. Without flash it looks purple but with flash and in the sun you can see the berry red.

This is right after I applied it which is why it's a little messy. Good thing I took it then since I decided to not use a top coat and my mannie was ruined shortly after. I wish I could have all the Designer Series. Le Sigh, we can dream.

I hope everyone is as excited as me that it's the weekend again! BTW I decided to make a Facebook page for my blog. I put the link to the right of my posts. If you have a second to spare please 'like' my page!

But, then again, a day will come when I want off that ride.

You know I really loved the colors Blue Iguana and 108 Degrees from China Glaze Island Escape collection.  I took a trip to my local Sally's and finally saw these in person and had to have them. However wearing them felt kind of meh, lol. I can't explain it. I've been feeling a little unmotivated lately doing my nails. My toes are just Blue Iguana and I figured a taped french mannie was due.

This last picture is a perfect example of how frustrated I am with Seche Vite. The obvious shrinking and note the bubbling on my index finger. Meh! I'm looking forward to all the prettys I just ordered but if my top coat is a fail it will make me sad. Can anyone recommend a fast drying top coat that doesn't cause bubbling?

Here's my beloved Macbook with my Snow White's revenge decal. I absolutely love this computer! I've been spending every minute I have on the Mac and trying to spice up my blog.

Cletus and Zombri send there love and kisses!
