Fabuluxe Skull

It's Halloween Bloggerettes and I have a fab look for you today. I've been wanting to do my own take on the Sugar Skull mani but with more glitta and more accent nails!

My base colors.

Phew, my closeup pic makes my skin looked wrecked. I promise my skin is just fine, lol.

As usual I started off with 2 coats of Rejuvacote. My thumb, ring, and pinkie nails have 2 coats Revlon Stiletto, my new favorite black creme, with 2 coats Lush Lacquer Lite Brite glitta. Index nails has 2 coats OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls and my middle is just 1 coat of Hard Candy Fabuluxe. I love me a good 1 coater! For my skull my tools of choice were a big and small dotting tool and a thin striper brush. For eyes, mouth, and nose I used Stiletto, Fabuluxe to surround the eyes, dots in eyes were Hard Candy Beetle, and the hearts were Orly Purple Crush. Lush Lacquer's Lite Brite is a gorgeous multi sized and colored glitter, a definite must have! The skull was much harder to do than I originally thought, I had to redo it a few times before I was happy.

I hope you liked my Halloween mani, I know I loved it. Today was a rough day, we found out my father in law passed away. I would love and appreciate any love, prayers, and well wishes for my boyfrann, his family, and myself. I hate to end this on a sad note so here is a funny picture of Zombri and her new friends at the dog park last weekend.

Thanks for looking!

You don't make friends with salad!

Lets play a little catch up! Here's the last two looks I did before I got sick.  The first look is Zoya Roxy with Sally Hansen Salon Effects Kitty, Kitty on my ring finger. I was shocked at how easy the polish strips were to apply and they last forever! I ripped off a little too much off the tip on my right hand so I applied some gold glitter to cover my oopsy. I didn't even follow the instructions just applied to my bare nail and no top coat. There was no peeling or bubbling, just gorgeousness. Check out the ring my boyfriend bought me on our trip in Orlando! Isn't it a dream? He bought it at one of those places that lets you pick an oyster to open and get a pearl. Then I got to pick which ring to set it in. Pretty neat and I flippin love it!

The second look was done shortly after we came back home. My Roxy had serial tip wear and I was tired of looking a hot mess. I had bought Deborah Lippmanns Glitter in  the Air awhile ago but had yet to wear it. I was sad that we didn't do more shopping on our trip so I splurged at Walmart and bought make up and more unnecessary things. I saw Hard Candy's Sky nail polish and knew what my next look would be. This is three coats of Sky with two layers of GitA.

It was the perfect Easter mannie. Everyone thought they look like little eggs. I'm currently having a hard time photographing my makeup/nails with my current setup. It seems my HTC Evo camera takes better pictures than my two cameras. Very frustrating. Life in general is pretty frustrating. My dad is currently in the hospital and it's taking a toll on me and my family. The house has been awfully quiet...le sigh.

Roses and Beetles.

Mmm, I had a wonderful weekend off spent with my sister. I finally went tanning and took a nice long cold shower with my new Skin-a-licious goodies. But that's saved for another post. Here's my first attempt at roses. I used my Debra Lynn 3 piece Dotting and Marbling Nail Art Set from Trans Design. I went to Walmart and noticed they had Hard Candy's Beetle and it looked like it's permanent! Very exciting. Anywho here's the look...

This look was amazing in person. I left it like this for about 2 weeks, longer than any look I have ever done. My new job keeps my nails intact so I can be a little lazy with my nails. This is Essie Merino Cool on all nails, Hard Candy Beetle on ring fingers, roses are Revlon Orchid with Orly Fancy Fuchsia, and OPI Gargantuan Green Grape in matte and Orly Hally's Comet for the leaves. And I added a little Milani 3D for sparkle on the roses.

Don't mind my messy room. I'm staying with my parents temporaly until we can find a home that will except our big boy Cletus. I'm not trying to get comfortable! Tootles!
